It’s finally here! To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of both brands, we teamed up with Wildflower Cases for our second collaboration together. Frankies Bikinis x Wildflower Cases features two exclusive prints within our Class of 2012 collection. This collaboration celebrates not only the founding of our companies in 2012, but also over a decade of friendship between Frankies Bikinis founder, Francesca Aiello, and Wildflower Cases founders, Devon and Sydney Carlson. While creating this collaboration, the girls felt all the nostalgia of building their businesses side by side, from sharing their first designs with each other, to creating an entire collection together ten years later. The collaboration was a full circle moment, a moment they were able to share with their parents and pets on the day they shot the campaign. “Devon and Sydney are like sisters to me,” said Francesca Aiello. “Creating this collection meant so much because there’s over a decade of friendship between the three of us. Coming together to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of both our brands with Class of 2012 was an opportunity to not only create together, but also share memories that’ll last forever.”
“LIVING THE DREAM! This is what we used to talk about when we were kids, and 10 years later… we're designing clothes and doing photoshoots together,” said Devon Lee Carlson, “We come up with ideas in the spur of the moment and make them happen. It’s always super collaborative and we’re never not creating. I’m so grateful to be able to work with my friends and family. There’s nothing like it!”
“Designing a collection with Francesca and my sister was the most fun thing ever,” said Sydney Carlson, “Since it’s both of our companies’ 10 year anniversary, we wanted to do an ode to the Class of 2012 to celebrate. This whole collection has a lot of meaning to us – not only because of the decade we’ve been running businesses, but growing up together and seeing how far we’ve come. I’m SO excited for this one and cannot wait to see everyone wearing it!”
The Class of 2012 collection (which is now available to shop here) introduces new pieces to match head to toe in– and yes, we’re talking about your phone case too. The two prints from this collection designed in collaboration with Wildflower Cases include–City of Angels, a blue and pink print on-trend with our signature hibiscus floral designs, and Malibu High, which features a retro ‘Malibu’ graphic, white shimmer details, and a sunset ocean scene that’ll make you crave the beach just by wearing it.
The lineup of new swim and apparel silhouettes include the Davie top and Davie skirt–a hibiscus set designed for summer outings (best paired with kitten heels or clean white sneakers), the 310 dress–crafted in shine fabric to keep you shimmering all season long, and the Phillipa top and Mackenzie bottom–a micro bikini set for all our OG Frankies Girls who love a skimpy bikini.
The lineup also includes a range of swimwear and apparel pieces in our signature terrycloth fabric that gained popularity last year for its cozy feel. Some of our favorite terrycloth bikinis from our collaboration with Wildflower Cases include the Tia top in Malibu High–a classic triangle bikini top, the Boots bottom in Malibu High–a skimpy bikini bottom with a floral design (reminiscent of our original skimpy silhouettes that we launched way back in 2012), and the Ava bottom in Malibu High–our newest swim-skirt-style bikini bottom, which is an early 00s dream.
Class of 2012 also features all new terrycloth basics in Snow white, one of our favorite Snow white pieces being the Meechie romper–a form-fitting romper ready for lounging or playing all through summer. Two other dreamy prints and fabrications featured in Class of 2012 are–Homecoming, designed with dainty pink bows and a nostalgic ‘12’ graphic to highlight the year Frankies Bikinis began in Malibu, CA, and Sky Blue Lace, crafted in embroidered lace and featuring stitched hearts and a white floral design (we know the Cody lace mini dress will be rotating through your closet through the rest of summer).
