'Tis the season, girls. The start of our 2020 bikini collections are here and they're bigger and better than ever. We sat down with our Founder and Creative Director, Francesca Aiello, to get the goss on the new suits and all her current favorites.
Where did you get your inspiration for the 2020 Resort Swimwear Collection?
It's something that derived from my inner explorer -- bits and pieces of inspiration I've picked up in my travels over the past year. This all shines through in the tropical toned colors of the collection:
- Cool blues of the sky
- My favorite fresh tropical fruits
- Greens of the palm trees
- Neutral animal prints
- Sand, seashells, and sunsets
- Moody, exotic florals
What was your favorite part about creating this swimwear collection?
I think I was really able to show off my adventurous side with the vast variety of shapes. Which makes me believe that there's something available to everyone. I'm also really excited about our size expansion and offering more XL bikini tops for bigger busts. This is something I've been working on for so long!
How would you describe the pieces in the new swimwear collection?
Because of the vast variety of shapes, I'd say adventurous! Soft hues, bold cuts, pretty prints, along with some of our tried and true customer favorites - from our sexy skimpy bikini cuts to more modest sporty swimwear shapes - the options are endless for my range of customers.
What's your favorite new style?
I'm a big fan of basic swimwear shapes like triangle bikini tops because I'm a minimalist - BUT I'm seriously obsessing over the Leigh top that released in the second drop on November 4th. It's a keyhole bikini top meets crop top and it pairs perfectly with a pair of baggy denim for styling off the beach.
What about a favorite one piece?
The Croft, hands down. It's a skimpy, sleek, and sexy one-piece swimsuit. The tie front is super flattering on the waistline and the back is minimal and fun!
What's your favorite new color?
Hmm it's honestly so hard to decide! I'm loving browns this Fall so I think I have to say Brownie for my favorite color and Tiger for my favorite print - I am loving animal print bikinis right now!
